Open Source Expertise

We use, love, contribute to and rely on open source software. Although we have delivered solutions that run on commercial / closed source software (e.g. Oracle RDBMS, IBM Websphere), EBS was founded with a strong focus on open source software:

• We rely on OSS for day-to-day operations and for supporting all processes and the full software development life cycle (e.g. PBX, server virtualization, CRM, desktops, IDEs, change management and revision control, continuous, issue tracking, etc.)
• We use and extend OSS for building and deploying our solutions and products
  • by incorporating open source libraries and frameworks in our designs,
  • by deploying on open source infrastructure software (e.g. DB / application / web / search-indexing servers)
• We develop and maintain EBS-driven OSS projects (the GSS ecosystem: gss, igss, firegss, gssdroid) as well as contribute to various other OSS projects.
• We offer consulting, training and customization services for helping customers deploy the appropriate OSS-based solution that will minize TCO of IT investements, leverage existing infrastructure and meeting business goals.
